However, because our systems are designed to be so modular and expandable, we recommend that customers and dealers start out with a base kit. It’s easy and cheap to get started, and you can add on as you wish. As you can see in this picture, two or more systems can be easily coupled together. We sell a kit that is a three turbine kit, goes on a rooftop.

Our best selling kit is the smaller rooftop mounted turbine that connects with a solar panel to give clean reliable power at 850 watts of Wind/Solar Hybrid power. The cycles of heavy wind season in winter, heavy solar season in summer go hand in hand with our hybrid wind/solar systems. Also, when solar is dead at night, wind is typically stronger at night. There’s a synergy of generation in these wind/solar hybrids that helps to make a system more consistent.

They will not look like these kits above that we sell. For most people, a professionally designed, attractive, high tech kit is the way to to. DIY Home Wind Turbine Kits

I enjoy doing this work, helping homeowners build and install wind/solar hybrid systems.  WindEnergy7.com has kits starting at just under a thousand bucks and going up to whatever size project a customer needs.  Although we have larger community sized wind turbines for school districts or local government projects, it’s the small home wind systems that are most fun.  The best selling is the smaller rooftop mounted turbines that connect with a solar panel to give clean reliable power.  

You see, since the wind is stronger in the winter months, sun is stronger in the summer months, we designed a system that is attractively priced, that gives an even flow of energy year round.  The synergy of a wind/solar hybrid system gives you more consistant energy for your home throughout the year.

I think it’s great to check out the home grown turbine kits and plans, but for most people, a professionally designed high tech kit is the way to go.  It’s way simple to assemble and put up and is simply more attractive at the home.  If you want a project of experimentation and something that looks home made on your house, I encourage you to build a home made junkyard turbine.  But that’s definitely not the best way to go for most homeowners.  My starter kits put out far more reliably and will perform much better than a clumsy homegrown junkyard turbine, just a thought.

My main goals for Small Wind Turbines are de-centralization of electrical power. I want to help empower INDIVIDUALS to use Small Wind Turbines to produce their own power as a personal economic benefit. I have seen the longest running wind farm in Texas and how the local school district is STILL poor and the local economy got only a couple of jobs from it. Residences, farms, rural individuals, school districts, co-ops, county governments, civic organizations, all can actually put up their own small wind turbines and produce electricty to the grid. This works on any scale, not just for giant power companies and billionaires. This is good for a group, good for a landowner, good for a homeowner. You scale it all down and most projects will pay themselves off in 7 to 10 years if you do it correctly.

I am more interested in that, decentralizing the control of electrical power to individuals. Small scaleable Wind Power changes the control and command of electric power. These giant turbines work on any scale, all the way down to one you can buy from me for the price of a car. Pays itself off in about the same time frame, then you have a small income, or a little extra juice for a plug-in hybrid auto, maybe replace your need for natural gas cooking and heating with your wind turbine electric power.
