Texas Farm-Ranch
Hello and welcome. This page is to be the new home of Texas Farm-Ranch, a group of wind energy advocates. Texas farmers, ranchers, and rural residence owners talk about their wind energy rights, projects, and how to harness their personal and community benefits.
FOR STATERS:
Look Up the Texas Wind Maps:

You’ll see much discrepancy here but mostly to do with number of accurate samples, age of map, and elevation above ground they were taken. Next check out net metering policies of your utility for On-Grid or Grid-Tied energy systems.
Also look at what is your local utilities cost per kwH (kilowatt hour), some more than others but that all plays into the ROI for a small wind energy project.
See my post on Small Wind Turbines. I will post more here tomorrow.
