No. System is upgradeable to the 4.2 without an inverter upgrade. These are complete with everything but batteries, cabinet, and some wiring supplies.

My systems are built for this, to be upgradeable. This is a 4.2kw system MINUS several panels and turbines. You can go to 4.2kW with its inverter it comes with.
