Wind Turbine/Solar Power and Refrigerator?

Post by admin »

>> can you put enough batterey back up on one turbine to
>> run the refrigerator (9 amps @120 volts.?

You can put enough batteries in to run the whole residence if you like. That refrigerator does not run continually either, so needs the actual kwH of the user patterns. Amps, Volts, and Watts are only the factors of what you need to know.

You have to figure out the QUANTITY of power used or required. That is in kwH and has to include the users patterns of usage, PLUS the amps/volts.

Example.. 2 refrigerators Identical spec.

(1) an older couple, no kids, 3 squares a day

(2) a family of 5, 3 hungry snacking kids open/close
day/night getting snacks and drinks and etc.

#2.. Same unit, is about 4x the power used daily.

SAME WITH A TELEVISION, REFRIGERATOR, LIGHTING, HEAT/COOL AND ANYTHING ELSE IN A RESIDENCE OR BUSINESS.

YOU NEED MOTRE THAN SPECS, YOU NEED QUANTITIES AND PATTERNS OF ENERGY USE. LIKE AN ELECTRIC BILL.
